Bernardino de Burgos, a pharmacist from Seville associated with the circle of Nicol\u00e1s Monardes. He was also part of BAM\u2019s closest circle, as evidenced by documentation in the Archivo de Protocolos de Sevilla, which shows that he even held a notarial power of attorney to receive payments on BAM\u2019s behalf; cf. Gil,\u00a0Arias Montano en su entorno<\/em>, pp. 31, 183. BAM\u2019s art collection included a painting by Bernardino de Burgos, possibly executed by Pedro de Villejas Marmolejo; cf.
