Hermano de Regnier y Remi, ten\u00eda fama de ser uno de los mejores fabricantes de instrumentos para construir astrolabios con comp\u00e1s interior, especialmente adaptados para el c\u00e1lculo sobre plancheta. Plantino lleg\u00f3 a pagar por el astrolabio grande de Arsenio, en cobre, 36 florines, para venderlo entre 40 y 50 florines.
